Patrick Abi Abdallah x Elyse Tabet x 𝘊œ𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘥è𝘭𝘦 (1923)
Thursday, July 17 · 8PM · BAC Rooftop
Marie wants to escape from her job and also from her lover, Paul, an unemployed drunk. She dreams of going off with Jean, a dockworker. The two men quarrel and fight over Marie on two occasions, but Paul retains a hold over her.
Patrick Abi Abdallah is a Lebanese artist working across music, audiovisual art, and installations. Patrik began his professional artistic journey as a drummer, co-composer, and co-producer with Flum Project. In 2016, he co-founded the Beirut-based collective Frequent Defect, which led to the launch of his solo project, H.W.G.A. (He Who Goes Anywhere).
Elyse composes audio-visual works treating sound as a mutating body to interrogate space, context, and auditory perception.
In this live ciné-concert, the duo performs an original score to 𝘊œ𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘥è𝘭𝘦 (1923) by Jean Epstein, blending percussive drive and experimental textures into a sonic landscape that reanimates the film’s emotional rhythm.
The performance will be followed by a DJ set by Afram.
